Applied Health Care Nursing, Inc., a Medicare certified home care agency, was acquired by Doctor’s Choice Home Care earlier this year. Though the name Doctor’s Choice Home Care is new to Texas, CEO Sandy Bell has called Houston home for 40+ years. Sandy began her career as flight nurse at Herman Memorial and has spent two decades in home care as Area Vice President, President and CEO of companies in Texas, Oklahoma and Florida. Together, she and her experienced team of clinical leaders have over 50 years of combined service in home care. Doctor’s Choice Home Care will bring the highest level of care and expertise to the patients and communities served.
The agency is responsible for serving Harris County and 54 surrounding counties. Services provided in the home by the agency include skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and home health aide. Additionally, service programs offered consist of congestive heart failure, COPD, wound care management, behavior health, low vision rehabilitation, edema treatment programs, orthopedics, diabetes, recovery from surgical procedures, and infusion.
